What I would recommend switching to Firefox for is if you want to support a browser engine and architecture independent of the Chromium projects (give or take how most sites are designed with Chromium in mind), want to get away from Chromium, want a more customizable experience (including privacy), want a mobile browser that can use UBlock Origin instead of the default browser's Adblock, and want an experience that (give or take a few decisive design changes) offers you a browsing experience that is no more and no less what you want.įirefox, Brave, and Vivaldi I would consider to be the top three options for Internet Browsing in the modern era. I also wouldn't recommend switching if you are particularly attached to the Chromium interface and engine that powers Brave.
